About the Artist: ANDREW STELMACK
Andrew Stelmack has forged a remarkable career in the acting industry having performed in well over fifty professional productions from Shakespeare to Sondheim, as well as many varied television and film projects. But it was immediately following almost four years with the Mirvish/Disney Toronto production of THE LION KING that a new door to his creativity opened. After such a long and demanding run he took a short break from “the biz” to physically recover … and to fulfill a life long dream of putting thoughts and feelings to paint. He has never looked back sinceAndrews visual arts career has blossomed to become a very important part of his artistic journey in life and he now works hard to balance both very active careers. This year alone he participated in the Toronto Art Expo, Riverdale Art Walk and had three solo shows: “CANDLE LIGHT” at the Hangman Gallery on Queen, “SEEING RED” at the Petroff Gallery on Eglington West and another exhibition in Winnipeg. (On top of playing Lefou in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and up next, Leslie Arden’s new musical at LKTYP this fall.) Andrew’s artwork is now found in galleries all across Canada and the US, in major corporate collections as well as many private collections. A new solo show is planned for summer 2010 and he is presently working on a large commission for a major Canadian company out west. MAKE A DONATION or Just Help Out

We have no doubt that the Sondheim in September series will be hugely entertaining and talked about for years to come, but as with all charity events, the underlying motivation is fund-raising. And for a most worthy cause at that. The Actors Fund of Canada. All of the performers and musicians, support staff and technical crew are donating their time and expertise at no cost and we are more than grateful.

There is great joy and excitement in mounting a theatrical production and if you love this music then we would love to involve you in the excitement of it all. Please help us in any way you can. Perhaps you would like to volunteer to be involved in the organization and running of the concerts. Perhaps you would like to sponsor the events in some way or perhaps you can just help out with some good ideas. All of these are more than welcome and you can contact us at any time. Better yet join our facebook group for regular updates
